After years of producing thousands of action figures, between all the different manufacturers, Hasbro may have gotten it right! Even the Unleashed series that released about a half decade ago didn’t really fall into the action figure category because they were more statue than poseable figure. Well arriving soon to a peg near you, in the style of Marvel Legends, comes the next step in the evolution of Star Wars action figures, the ‘Black Series‘! This series promises to be geared towards the adult collector with figures over 6″, highly detailed sculpts, decently articulated, and ranging around the $20 priceline. Not bad for figures these days! The first eight Star Wars Black Series toys will be out this year, with X-Wing Luke, R2D2, Darth Maul and a Sandtrooper being the first announced! This will definitely change my collecting habit as I stopped buying the four inch line years ago! But this inspires me to buy Star Wars again! The universe is looking brighter for us faltering Star Wars fans lately! Now where’s my Darth Vader!!
