Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers- First Trailer from the animated sequel

I was a big fan of the first Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It was colorful, had a cute story, and it definitely was above a lot of other animated movies that have come out lately. It seems that they formula worked, and Sony Pictures has decided to go a little more zany for the sequel.

Bill Hader is back to voice Flint Lockwood, who returns to Swallow Falls with his girlfriend (Anna Faris) to clean up the mess from the first movie. It seems that the food has mutated into food-imals and now they have to save the world again! Check out the hilarious trailer below and see some more punny humor!

Here’s the synopsis for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2:

In the wake of the disastrous food storm at the end of the first movie, Flint Lockwood and friends are forced to leave their town of Swallow Falls.  But when it is discovered that sentient food beasts have overrun the island, they are asked to return to save the world…again.

The film also features the voices of Andy Samberg, Benjamin Bratt, Terry Crews, and Neil Patrick Harris.  Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 opens in 3D on September 27th.
