Hey Towelites! It’s time again to round up the latest news and rumors from Marvel Studios Phase 2!
Time to get the casting engines revving! Marvel is looking to fill the role of Peter Quill, AKA Starlord, the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. On the list of potentials are: Joel Edgerton (Warrior), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire), Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas), Lee Pace (Lincoln), Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn), Garrett Hedlund (TRON: Legacy), James Marsden (X-Men) and Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom). Starlord, was born of a human mother and alien father. He’s a master strategist and combat expert who wears an ability-enhancing suit and pilots a psychically-linked ship. Guardians is probably my most anticipated movie of Phase 2 right now, I can’t wait to see the cosmic Marvel Universe brought to the big screen!
Some more pics have surfaced from Iron Man 3! Check em out!! First up we have Rebecca Hall as Dr Maya Hansen, this is the first e have seen of this new character. Second, a stern looking Tony Stark, and last but not least a destroyed Iron Man mask!
James Badge who will play Eric Salvin “Coldblood”, one of the few villains being featured in Iron Man 3 had this to say about his role:
“Ben Kingsley (The Mandarin) is the mouthpiece. Guy Pearce (Aldrich Killian) is the brain. I’m the muscle. Being in a big CGI action movie is a weird departure for me. I’m more of a ‘put two guys in a room and we’ll just talk to each other’ style of actor. But I had a lot of fun. I learned to ride a horse. I got to beat up grown men in robot suits and shoot zombies with Brad Pitt.”
