Joss Whedon has had a very good year. He has one of the biggest movies of all-time, is working on a hit television series based off of S.H.I.E.L.D., and he’s just handed in his draft for Avengers 2. Though the movie is only 3 years away, it’s nice to know that Avengers 2 is coming along nicely. We all THINK that Thanos is going to be the main protagonist of the movie given the ending of Avengers; but Whedon could pull off a twist. We really don’t know until we see more of the Phase 2 releases.
In the meantime, Whedon has confirmed to be directing the pilot to the S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. The show starts filming this upcoming January, and Disney will be shopping the show to ABC. After the first episode, Whedon hopes to be stepping back into the role of Executive Producer so that he can focus on the other Marvel projects. And we thought Stan Lee was a busy guy!
