And here we were getting all excited about all this Amazing Spider-Man 2 stuff, when Fox decided to drop a bomb on us. We get a tweet from director of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Bryan Singer, that we shall be seeing a follow-up to the film, X-Men: Apocalypse! Shortly thereafter, another tweet comes out that the film will be coming on May 27th, 2016. BOOM!

Here are the tweets:

No stopping the X-Men franchise. Fox’s X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will drop May 27, 2016.

I have to think that with Mark Millar over there at Fox, that he’s finally getting that studio reaching it’s full potential. With DOFP looking amazing, Josh Trank on pre-production of a Fantastic Four reboot, and Jeff Wadlow working on an X-Force film; the next few years are going to have some pretty epic-sized Superhero flicks.

As more news comes in on X-Men: Apocalypse, Stay Tuned to DFAT to find out what develops!
