When I heard that Jason Aaron would be taking on Star Wars as his next comic for Marvel and Lucasfilm Ltd., I flipped out. He’s been doing an amazing job on Thor and the first few issues of the comic has been epic. The only problem I had with it was the artwork, which you can read about in my review of the first issue HERE.
I have nothing against artist John Cassaday, but I didn’t like the way he drew the action or the lightsabers and it looks like his run will end on issue #7. Given that the first arc ends on issue #6, I’m not sure if Marvel had this planned out all along or Cassaday didn’t gain the same type of reception with his art as Aaron has gained with his writing. Stuart Immonen will be taking over the reigns on issue #8 and you can learn more about him and see a sneak peek of his artwork below. Marvel Announces Stuart Immonen as New Ongoing STAR WARS Artist!
