The wind was warm, which was a good thing considering the circumstance. Jerry was running through the most beautiful garden he had ever seen. He had made a mental note to return to this spot once the people had long since left for the night. The loving embrace of the night air was nostalgic for him. Flickering memories of summer, with it’s endless days and exhausting nights riddled his dreams as he slept. Recently, he had discovered that life was worth enjoying. Sucking the marrow from every moment. That’s why he was currently standing entirely nude in a well pruned public place.

Batman and Robin Eternal #19 (DC)

Tim Seeley (W) Paul Pelletier/ Tony Kordos (A)

We finally found out what the big reveal was. I totally guessed it in like the second issue. That’s a bit dissappointing…

red wolf 3

Red Wolf #3 (Marvel)

Nathan Edmondson (W) Dalibor Talajic (A)

I am afraid this comic will be less on par with Edmondson’s Black Widow series and more on par with his Deathlok series. That isn’t a good thing. I’ll judge it based on this arc.

CONSTHLB_Cv9

Constantine: The Hellblazer #9 (DC)

Ming Doyle (W) Riley Rossmo (A)

The last issue had a lot of really cool ideas crammed in it. Hopefully it keeps it up. I can see myself following this comic for a while.

Injection #7 (Image)

Warren Ellis (W) Declan Shalvey (A)

This series is like a damned rollercoaster. A couple issue will go by and I’ll have felt like I missed something, then out of nowhere it kicks ass again. I’m not complaining, just a little conflicted is all.

spider-gwen 5

Spider-Gwen #5 (Marvel)

Jason Latour (W) Robbi Rodriguez (A)

Still glad they gave this insane shot in the dark character a chance. If you aren’t reading this series, give it a try. People will always hate things they don’t understand. Honestly, I’m shocked that this character gained the following that it has.

ms marvel 4

Ms. Marvel #4 (Marvel)

G. Willow Wilson (W) Takeshi Miyagawa (A)

What do you do when your whole town thinks you are a sellout when all you wanted to do was help them? If you answered give up, they probably won’t make a comic book about you. Just saying.

All-New All-Different Avengers #5 (Marvel)

Mark Waid (W) Mahmud A. Asrar (A)

Ms.Marvel is getting kicked in the ass recently. It seems as if she may be getting the boot from her idols. I mean when you are a fangirl for your whole life it’s gotta suck when they tell you you can’t be an Avenger, right? READ THE COMIC.

spiderman deadpool 2

Spider-Man/Deadpool #2 (Marvel)

Joe Kelly (W) Ed McGuinness (A)

I really really loved the first issue of this. It brought me right back to my early days reading Deadpool. Kelly was always my favorite Deadpool writer. It’s good to see he hasn’t lost the ability to tickle my funny bone. He always wrote Deadpool with an underlying need to be better, or at least attempt to be better, that I always loved about the character. I endorse this comic.

old man logan 2

Old Man Logan #2 (Marvel)

Jeff Lemire (W) Andrea Sorrentino (A)

Man, I got so tired of Professor Logan, I wish he would go back to the uber badass he used to be. Oh, wait he did. What do you mean kinda? I’ll take it. And he fights the Hulk. Can I get a hell yeah? No? People don’t do that in real life? Well, fine then.

hawkeye 3

All-New Hawkeye #4 (Marvel)

Jeff Lemire (W) Ramon K. Perez (A)

I love the misdirection that they just fed us. Makes the comic maybe a little less bleak. Don’t worry, I’m sure it will return for all of you pessimists. We love you too.

TheAutumnlands_09-1

The Autumnlands: Tooth & Claw #9 (Image)

Kurt Busiek (W) Ben Dewey (A)

This is an excellent piece of fantasy. Probably one of the best pieces I’ve ever read. It has such a realized world, but still manages to spice things up with hints at something outside of the world we see. It’s hard to explain. Just read the comic.

BM-49-1-e4e06

Batman #49 (DC)

Scott Snyder (W) Yanick Paquette (A)

That didn’t take long did it? I assume you are reading this because it’s Batman. If you aren’t reading this, then why do you read comics? More importantly, why do you read my article? You’re weird.

LOW_11-1

Low #11 (Image)

Rick Remender (W) Greg Tocchini (A)

Is there any hope that this comic will stop crushing my soul? Probably not, but this next arc is making a strong case for it.

ManhattanProjSunBeyond_04-1

Manhattan Projects: The Sun Beyond the Stars #4 (Image)

Jonathan Hickman (W) Nick Pitarra (A)

I love this saga, but I am getting ancy to find out what has happened to our other cast members since we last saw them. I need to know about the Einstein twins. I NEED IT.

descender_10-1

Descender #10 (Image)

Jeff Lemire (W) Dustin Nguyen (A)

Did anyone ever have one of those personalized robotic best friends that were taken away during the systematic destruction of all robots after massive sentinels destroyed a system of planets and vanished inexplicably? Yeah, me too. I’m glad this guy found his.

BlackScience_20-1

Black Science #20 (Image)

Rick Remender (W) Matteo Scalera (A)

This arc is fucking amazing. I think, in my opinion, this is the best arc of the series so far. That means a lot coming from me because I’ve been effectively acting as a Shepard, initiating everyone with eyes into the world of Black Science. I am blown away by this arc. I loves it.

Jerry breathed in deeply, fully embracing the mischievous shiver that ran across his skin. Just before his planned journey back to the safety of his suburbanized silver sedan, a face caught his attention. He froze, not quite like a deer in headlights, more like a nude man in a strange patch of tamed wilderness. It was his neighbor of fifteen years. Before he could even open his mouth, his neighbors nude figure peaked around the shrubbery. “No way, you too?”
