What are you doing? I told you to go to your room and watch Jessica Jones. You are not to return to me until you have a full knowledge of the character and an eight page review. These aren’t outlandish requests if you plan on being a functioning human being.

Dark Knight III: The Master Race (DC)

Frank Miller/Brian Azzarello (W) Andy Kubert (A)

Editor note: Clay didn’t have this on the list and I thought maybe he didn’t because he figured everyone and their mother is going to be it and one of it’s 77 variant covers. Who knows? Anyway, I’m personally excited to see Frank Miller back to take on the Bat(man).

Colder: Toss the Bones #3 of 5 (Dark Horse)

Paul Tobin (W) Juan Ferreyra (A)

This comic is good. Having said that, I wish that they had left it off with the first story. Not to insult the comic, but I feel like the longer this story goes on, the more that it loses.

howling commandos 2

Howling Commandos of Shield #2 (Marvel)

Frank Barbiere (W) Brent Shoonover (A)

This had a pretty interesting first issue. I feel as if it could yield some very interesting stories, but I’m just not completely sold on it yet. Give me a couple more issues.

STK688827

Batman and Robin Eternal #8 (DC)

Genevieve Valentine (W) Alvaro Martinez (A)

I’ve been talking Robin with some of my friends a lot recently. Mostly because of this comic. I argue that taking children in and training them to be warriors in your war against crime, holding them up to higher standards than yourself is a severe delusion, and is horrible for these children. What so you think?

WildsEnd03-EnemyWithin-A-Main-70667

Wilds’ End: Enemy Within #3 of 4 (BOOM! Studios)

Dan Abnett (W) I.N.J. Culbard (A)

This series is fantastic. It is sharp, witty, and most definitely worth your time. It’s an extremely good comic that isn’t receiving the attention it deserves.

hail hydra 4

Hail Hydra #4 (Marvel)

Rick Remender (W) Roland Boschi (A)

I love this series. It’s Remender’s swan song and it also serves as a continuation of the Captain America series. So far this and Thors have been my favorite things to come out of Secret Wars. I suggest reading this even if you aren’t into the event. Worth your time.

shield 12

S.H.I.E.L.D. #12 (Marvel)

Mark Waid (W) Howard Chaykin (A)

Everything is pointing to this being the last issue of Mark Waid and Howard Chaykin’s tenure on this comic. Soon we will get Agents of SHIELD with Marc Guggenheim and Mike Norton. Sadly I don’t think I’ll make the crossover. I am leaving the comic with this issue and it makes me insanely sad. I loved the premise of this series.

Jupiter’s Circle Vol. 2 #1 (Image)

Mark Millar (W) Wilfredo Torres (A)

Okay, so I really love this series. But seriously, you are going to do a volume two on the prequel before you continue with the original series? That feels a little unfair. You know what they say, beggers can’t be choosers.

rumble_09-1

Rumble #9 (Image)

John Arcudi (W) James Harren (A)

I don’t know much about this next issue. I do know that they are telling us it is the most horrifying issue to date. It also serves as the first issue in a new arc. I am very excite.

Archie4

Archie #4 (Archie Comics)

Mark Waid (W) Annie Wu (A)

Holy shit. This comic is too good. I mean series. Blown the fuck away by this. We lost Fiona Staples, and we will be sad she is gone, but we gain a level 100 Annie Wu, so there is much rejoicing. Soon we will be missing her too because everyone always leaves us. Always.

Outcast13_Cover

Outcast #13 (Image)

Robert Kirkman (W) Paul Azaceta (A)

Kyle is starting to understand his abilities. What a great place to start a new gut wrenching arc. This series is everything we were promised when Robert Kirkman said “Read my comic” (Quote not actually based on any actual quote)

Thefadeout_11-1

The Fade Out #11 (Image)

Ed Brubaker (W) Sean Phillips (A)

I have done nothing but tell people to read this comic. Can you guess how many people have started reading it because of me. One. One person. What is wrong with all of you. I give you a good thing and you throw it in the garbage. Well, I don’t need that kind of negativity.

saga_31-1

Saga #31 (Image)

Brian K. Vaughan (W) Fiona Staples (A)

It’s back. It’s finally back. It’s been eighteen years since the last comic and most of the fans are dead, mostly because they forgot to eat while waiting for this comic’s triumphant return. I didn’t though, I ate at least three chicken patties.

Have you done it yet? No? You were reading my article again weren’t you? You know what? Don’t even look at me, you aren’t my son.
