“Diamond is pleased to continue working closely with Valiant Entertainment, providing retailers with the opportunity to stock their favorite Valiant titles,” said Diamond’s Vice President of Purchasing, John Wurzer. “We look forward to seeing what the next 25 years for Valiant Entertainment holds as we work to help them grow their business.”

Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2015, Valiant is one of the most successful comic book publishing companies in the history of the medium with more than 81 million comics sold and a library of more than 2,000 distinct characters. Established by a brain trust of legendary comics creators including Jim Shooter, Bob Layton and Barry Windsor-Smith, Valiant’s heroes and villains inhabit the largest independently owned superhero universe anywhere in comics.

Brown, and Publisher Fred Pierce, the company has returned to great commercial and critical success, winning a Diamond Gem Award for Publisher of the Year and numerous industry awards and accolades. Valiant’s titles consistently rate among the best reviewed in comics.

In 2015, Valiant launched a new wave of best-selling hit series to multiple sell-outs and widespread critical acclaim, including THE VALIANT by New York Times best-selling writers Jeff Lemire & Matt Kindt with art by Eisner Award-winner Paolo Rivera; IVAR, TIMEWALKER by New York Times best-selling writer Fred Van Lente with art by Clayton Henry; DIVINITY by New York Times best-selling writer Matt Kindt with art by Trevor Hairsine; IMPERIUM by New York Times best-selling writer Joshua Dysart with art by Doug Braithwaite; NINJAK by New York Times best-selling writer Matt Kindt with art by Clay Mann and Butch Guice; and BLOODSHOT REBORN by New York Times best-selling writer Jeff Lemire with art by Mico Suayan.

“Valiant’s enormous success since the company’s return to publishing in 2012 is due in no small part to the support and assistance of Diamond,” said Valiant Chief Operating Officer & CFO Gavin Cuneo. “We will continue work in close concert with the Diamond team in the coming years to ensure Valiant’s continued growth in comics retail shops and book stores around the world.”
