There’s rare times in Hollywood where the stars seem to align and the Heavens reign ambrosiastic delights on us mortals. You know those times, J. J. Abrams directing a Star Wars movie, Joss Whedon helming Avengers, and today; Neill Blomkamp taking on an entry in the Alien franchise!
It’s been teased that Blomkamp would be directing a follow up film after concept images emerged a little while back. The images showed an amalgamation of Ripley (Sigourny Weaver) in an Alien ‘suit.’ It also showed a weathered Michael Biehn as Hicks. Fans erupted, DFAT included, as we saw the images and wished that this film existed. Judging by the tweet below, it’s actually happening.
