X-Men Apocalypse gets started on filming this upcoming Spring, but Bryan Singer and friends are hard at work on pre-production for the upcoming sequel. At the end of Days of Future Past, it was shown that En Sabah Nur (The First One) would be playing the Big Bad in the new film. With such a huge villain in place, we needed to know just who would be playing the character, and today he’s been officially announced.

Oscar Isaac will be taking on the role of the larger than life villain that pits himself against the X-Men during the 80s. Isaac is used to taking on smaller roles in films like Sucker Punch and Ex Machina. With a role in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and now X-Men, it looks like he will be branching out to much bigger franchises.

What do you think of Isaac in the role of Apocalypse? Do you think he has what it takes to bring the behemoth to life and take on the students of Xavier’s Mutant Academy? I guess we’ll find out on May 27th, 2016 when the film hits theaters! Until then, keep it here to DFAT for all of your X-Men: Apocalypse news!
