The last few years Disney’s own convention, D23, has really been picking up steam. Once they started to acquire Marvel and Star Wars properties, they started to set themselves apart from the Comic Cons. This weekend, we were lucky to get some pretty big reveals from the Mouse House and we thought we’d share them below!

First up, we have three words that will change the future of amusement parks: Star Wars Land. Disney is going to add 14 acres devoted to all things Star Wars. Interact with your favorite aliens and droids through the landscapes from the greatest Saga of all-time. Check out the description of the footage and pictures shown below:

A shot of a Star Wars planet and a couple of TIE fighters flying by was shown on the screen. “We’re bringing Star Wars to life in a big way, and I mean really big. It’s our largest single-themed land expansion ever. We knew it needed to be big, and great, and every bit as thrilling as our films are. So we’re transporting guests to a new planet. This new 14 acre land will be occupied by many inhabitants, aliens, droids. The attractions, entertainment, everything we create will be part of our storytelling, transporting our fans to a world of fun.
“Every restaurant, building, everything will be inhabited by the aliens and droids you’d expect to find there. You’d expect to find a Cantina – and there will be one. You’ll have the chance to run into all the droids and fantastic beasts that Star Wars is known for. You’ll meet characters from The Force Awakens and more from the Star Wars saga. The land will have two fantastic signature attractions, including the ability to take the controls of the millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission.

Let’s hope those rumors of Celebration coming to Orlando in 2017 comes true and it just so happens to coincide with Star Wars Land.

Up next, we have our first look at the Scruffy Looking Nerf Herders from Rogue One. The film has also been retitled to Rogue One – A Star Wars Story. The image below doesn’t really need much introduction more than that. These guys are definitely here to put the “Wars” back in “Star Wars.”

Colin Trevorrow has OFFICIALLY been announced as the director of Episode IX after making ass-loads of money with Jurassic World. The film will be penned by Lawrence and Jake Kasdan.

Finally, we have a new image from The Force Awakens. This one comes from the greatest poster artist in the galaxy, Drew Struzan. Coming out of retirement, Disney revealed one part of what I’m sure is going to be a MASSIVE image from the Master of Movie Art.
