Stephen King hands down, is the horror writer of our time. He has countless works, and even more adaptations of his beloved books. The next big-screen adaptation will be The Stand. The book has already been a cable mini-series directed by Mick Garris; but this new movie will be helmed by Josh Boone.

Boone recently finished another book adaptation, The Fault Within Our Stars, which just took #1 at the Box Office this weekend. With that success, he’s sure to get the ball rolling even faster on The Stand. The director had to say a couple of things on what to expect from his take on the material.

We’re gonna do one three-hour, R-rated version with an amazing A-list cast across the board. Every single one of those characters will be somebody you recognize and somebody you relate to.

Boone had mentioned he wanted to add Fault star, Josh Boone, to The Stand; and with the success of that film, I’m sure it will be a lock. As more news comes across on The Stand, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here at DFAT!
