I’m going to be quite honest and say that I definitely didn’t think that this week’s Box Office would end up like it did. The top three films all made over $29.2million; with Dumb and Dumber To taking the #1 spot. The 20 years in the making sequel brought in $38.1million and secured it as being a hit amongst viewers.

The film itself probably only cost $30million, so this is pretty huge news for stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Being that Dumb and Dumber is my favorite comedy of all time, I’m happy at how things ended up; though I was pretty sure that Big Hero 6 would have taken the top spot. The Marvel/Disney mashup wasn’t that far behind, as it did $36million on it’s own. It was also enough to put it ahead of last week’s 2nd place spot. Yet, Christopher Nolan‘s science fiction opus can’t feel all that bad, since it passed $300million Worldwide this weekend.

See the rest of the winners below.

1. Dumb and Dumber To $38.1 million

2. Big Hero 6 $36 million

3. Interstellar $29.2 million

4. Beyond the Lights $6.5 million

5. Gone Girl $4.6 million

6. St. Vincent $4 million

7. Fury $3.8 million

8. Nightcrawler $3 million

9. Ouija $3 million

10. Birdman $2.5 million

Next weekend is a bit of a no-brainer. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One will be released and I’ll predict it makes at least $80million next weekend. Not only is it coming off the insanely popular Catching Fire; but it’s also the last film that Phillip Seymour Hoffman starred in. It’s definitely going to make a ton, the question is how much?
