Happy Post-Turkey Day you delightful Towelites! Hope everyone got a chance to get out to the movies this past weekend and see some of the films that made our Top Ten this weekend. It looks like a lot of you must have gone and seen Mockingjay, Part 2; as the film brought in another $51.6million. I am actually pretty shocked as this film is the most boring of the series; but with this week’s earnings, the Jennifer Lawrence-starring film has made over $400mil worldwide.

The newcomers of the week that actually made some money were The Good Dinosaur and Creed, which took in $39.2mil and $30.1mil respectively. Unlike, Victor Frankenstein, which debuted with $3.4mil and didn’t even make the Top Ten. Furthermore, it was the lowest opening of all-time for a film in at least 2,500 venues. You can take a look at the winners below.

1. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 $51.6 million

2. The Good Dinosaur $39.2 million

3. Creed $30.1 million

4. SPECTRE $12.8 million

5. The Peanuts Movie $9.7 million

6. The Night Before $8.2 million

7. Secret in Their Eyes $4.5 million

8. Spotlight $4.5 million

9. Brooklyn $3.8 million

10. The Martian $3.3 million

The big premiere next weekend is Krampus; the horror holiday film followup from Trick ‘R Treats’, Michael Dougherty. As much as I’d love that to premier at #1, my prediction goes to Creed taking over Hunger Games for the top spot. Its gotten fantastic reviews from all the critics and a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I haven’t had a chance to see it myself, but I do love the Rocky series, and I’m sure it’s going to be great. Just what will happen next week? Find out in the next edition of Weekend Roundup.
