Looks like Katniss Everdeen and the other members of District 13 will survive another day and take the Top Spot again at the Box Office this weekend. The film is now the fourth biggest film of the year as it makes another $21.6million. This puts Mockingjay only $60,000 away from taking over The Lego Film in third place.

Newcomer, The Pyramid, was produced by Alexandre Aja and brought in $1.4million on it’s limited run. Not too shabby for a low budget horror film. Once the movie goes wide, expect it enough to make a sequel. The Penguins of Madagascar go on to take second place position again and you can see the rest of the Top Ten below.

1. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 $21.6 million

2. The Penguins of Madagascar $11.1 million

3. Horrible Bosses 2 $8.6 million

4. Big Hero 6 $8.1 million

5. Interstellar $8 million

6. Dumb and Dumber To $4.2 million

7. The Theory of Everything $2.7 million

8. Gone Girl $1.5 million

9. The Pyramid $1.4 million

10. Birdman $1.2 million

Next week, we have the return of Ridley Scott to the theatre with his new epic film, Exodus: Gods and Kings. I think the film looks like it could be entertaining, but not enough to take over The Hunger Games. Chris Rock‘s film, Top Ten, does look very good and from it’s reviews I think it has a good chance at shaking things up.
