We all knew that Furious 7 was going to destroy at the Box Office this weekend. It was incredibly smart to put it out on a long Easter Weekend, and it looks like Universal made a good decision pushing the film back. Not only was the film #1, it also took in $143.6million domestically and another made an additional $240.4 million for a worldwide total opening weekend of $384 million.

Furious 7 is the biggest opening weekend for the franchise, the biggest April opening, the biggest Easter Weekend opener, and the biggest opening for a film EVER. Nothing else even came close as you can see by the rest of the Top Ten below.

1. Furious 7 $143.6 million

2. Home $27.4 million

3. Get Hard $12.9 million

4. Cinderella $10.3 million

5. The Divergent Series: Insurgent $10 million

6. It Follows $2.5 million

I still haven’t had a chance to see the film, as I’m marathoning the movies right now. As soon as that’s done, I’ll be heading out to the IMAX to catch it and I can’t wait. With the rest of the month being kinda stale with releases, we can expect Furious 7 to keep taking in money until Avengers: Age of Ultron. Just how much? Well, stay tooned for the next edition of Weekend Roundup and find out.
