Despite the critics who don’t like to have fun and would rather brood and see their favorite heroes get wet and punch each other; Avengers: Age of Ultron has another successful weekend at the Box Office. The film managed to rake in another $77.2 million and solidify it’s position at #1 in the Top Ten. Regardless of the minor gripes you may have this movie, and I can understand some of them, you’re seeing a COMIC BOOK MOVIE. You’re there to have FUN! Which is exactly what the film delivers, read my review on it if you want a spoiler-riddled nerd rant on how much I enjoyed it HERE.

The newcomer of Hot Pursuit did nothing to catch up to the Marvel/Disney Hulkbuster of a film, as it brought in a paltry $13.3 million in comparison. Critics and audiences didn’t care about the tepid looking film and it showed in the revenue. The rest of the Top Ten fared okay, with Unfriended passing the $30million mark being the standout. You can see all of the winners below.

1. Avengers: Age of Ultron $77,203,000
2. Hot Pursuit $13,300,000
3. The Age of Adaline $5,600,000
4. Furious 7 $5,272,000
5. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 $5,190,000
6. Ex Machina $3,470,000
7. Home $3,000,000
8. Woman in Gold $1,692,000
9. Cinderella $1,574,000
10. Unfriended $1,412,000

Next week, we have Pitch Perfect 2 and the return of director George Miller and his film, Mad Max: Fury Road. I was excited for Avengers 2, but I am PUMPED for Mad Max. This film looks like it’s going to blow us all away and I can’t wait to see that Australian wasteland get destroyed by Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. With just a few critics seeing the film and loving it, the buzz surrounding the movie is growing to a crescendo and I can’t wait to check it out this weekend. Find out if it can take down Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on the next edition of Weekend Roundup!
