Chris Pratt and the dinosaurs of Jurassic World top the Box Office charts for a third weekend in a row. The film managed to pull in another $54.2million and brought it’s Worldwide total to $1,084,500,000. The movie also did a good job of beating out Pixar’s Inside Out for another week, even though it was only by $2million. Inside Out took in $52.1million, and puts it in a good spot to over take My Big Fat Greek Wedding as the Highest Grossing Film not to reach #1 at the Box Office.

Besides the two big winners, third place belongs to a big loser. Ted 2 premiered with $32.9million and was significantly under what analysts predicted for it’s opening weekend. The first film brought in $54million; but in recent years, creator Seth McFarlane, hasn’t done much to help his career and I think that had to do with the sequels soft debut. Not to mention, dinosaurs beat bears every day of the week.

1. Jurassic World $54.2 million

2. Inside Out $52.1 million

3. Ted 2 $32.9 million

4. Max $12.2 million

5. Spy $7.8 million

6. San Andreas $5.3 million

7. Dope $2.9 million

8. Insidious Chapter 3 $2 million

9. Mad Max: Fury Road $1.7 million

10. Avengers: Age of Ultron $1.6 million

Next week, we have the premiere of Magic Mike XXL and Terminator: Genisys. Two films that are likely not going to top more than $35million and maybe not even be able to take down Jurassic World. It’s going to be an interesting battle to see who comes out on top and I’m excited to share those results on the next edition of Weekend Roundup.
