Despite horrible reviews that were so acidic that they’d peel the paint off of a brand new car, Pixels still ended up premiering in 2nd place at the Box Office this weekend. It didn’t make much money, only $24million; but that was enough to bag it a slot on the Top Ten. Barely edging it out was Ant-Man for the second weekend in a row, bringing in $24.8million.

This puts the Marvel film in a good position overall. It’s now crossed the $100million mark domestically; and overall has brought in $226million worldwide. By the time it leaves theaters, it will cross Marvel’s lowest earning film, The Incredible Hulk ($263.4mil). The rest of the Top Ten is below.

1. Ant-Man $24.8 million

2. Pixels $24 million

3. Minions $22.1 million

4. Trainwreck $17.3 million

5. Southpaw $16.5 million

6. Paper Towns $12.5 million

7. Inside Out $7.4 million

8. Jurassic World $6.7 million

9. Mr. Holmes $2.8 million

10. Terminator Genisys $2.4 million

This upcoming weekend is going to show the release of the fifth Mission Impossible film. There’s no doubt it will overtake Ant-Man and projections show it premiering around the $65million mark. Just how much will it bring in? Check out the next edition of Weekend Roundup to find out.
