Penguin puts his plan in motion with Butch trying to convince Theo that he is unhappy with his current employment.  Theo accepts his sob excuse and welcomes him in.  It looks like Tabitha and Barbara have a new play thing and Theo is happy to play along with Penguins charade.

Gordon and the Strike Force are white hot with hard justice trying to squeeze every last information from criminals and informants of the whereabouts of Bridgit Pike, a.k.a. Firefly.  Gordon’s increasing behavior after one of his own dies becomes more violent and even his own strike force is concerned.  Unfortunately Barnes is aware of Gordon’s aggressive behavior and reprimands him about it.

Selina helps Bridgit hide from the police and everybody else.  Selina suggest to her that she leaves town, but needs cash.  Selina decides to use Bridgit’s arson capability to knock over a human trafficking auction house.  It goes without a hitch.  They have the money, but they don’t free the victims though.  There criminal acts don’t go unnoticed, Gordon sees a videotape of them coming out of the auction house.  Gordon finds Selina but Bridgit is nowhere to be found.  She tells him that the Pike Brothers have her and that they forced her to do all those arson fires.  She is going to get her back.  Gordon insists that she stay out of it and let him take care of it.  Selina makes him promise to get her back alive and safe.

Bridgit is taken against her will by her brothers and is forced to agree to work for them.  They take her money that she and Selina boosted from the Auction House.  Joe and Cale Pike tease, mock and emotionally terrify her.  Suddenly something snaps in her attitude.  She torches them alive and leaves them burning to death.  Gordon arrives to find them burnt to a crisp, but no Bridgit.

Nygma affection towards Ms. Kringle is returned and they get more intimate and romantic.  Unfortunately she still believes that her ex-boyfriend will return and terrorize her.  But Nygma slips out that he will never bother her again.  She asks him what he meant by that.  Strangely he mentions that he and Dougherty had a fight a while back and killed him.  But we know that he killed Doughtery without provocation and fails to mention that to her.  Unfortunately she didn’t react very well to this.  Nygma tries to convince her that he did it for her and wanted her to be safe.  She screamed insults; murderer and sicko, to him.  He tries to calm her down, but he went too far and kills her.

Theo is starting to get suspicious of Butch’s true intentions of leaving Penguin’s gang.  He breaks down and tells him that his condition is somewhat of a brainwashing state and that he has to do whatever Penguin wants and it is not by choice.  Theo enlists his sister Tabitha to deprogram him.  She is too happy to oblige.  Later on that evening, Theo, Tabitha, Bruce and Silver sit down and pretend to have a nice friendly family dinner.  Theo’s manipulation is starting to mold Bruce’s image of him and is planting a seed of deception on Theo’s behalf.  He even brings up Thomas Wayne and how much of a good man he was.  Bruce is starting to drink whatever Kool-Aid Theo is giving him.

Bridgit goes back to the Auction House and frees its victims.  She is full on ready to blaze anybody who gets in her way.  Gordon and the Strike Force is there preparing to stop her.  He tries to reason with her trying to keep the promise he made to Selina.  Unfortunately, his tactics don’t work.  Bridgit starts spraying flames, but her gear malfunctions and she gets herself on fire.  Gordon gives Selina the bad news.   She doesn’t take it well and blames him for Bridgit’s death and vows to never trust him nor anybody again.  Gordon still tries to get some information about who is responsible for the Wayne building fires.  She slips out that Penguin is behind it, but it confuses Gordon more.  What does Penguin gain for setting those buildings on fire?

Theo sets things in motion and sends Butch to Penguin informing him that he has located his mother.  He is overjoyed and starts to plan a rescue mission for her.  Unbeknownst to him, Theo has deprogrammed Butch and is now working for him.

The last scene of the episode is we see a body being wheeled down a dark hallway.  We discover that this place is part of Wayne’s Division called Indian Hill.  It is unclear what purpose this division serves, but there are cells inside with people being held against their will.  It is also revealed that Bridgit is still alive but badly burned, and she is part of a testing experiment.

This episode definitely reaches into the dark side of the human condition.  Abusive family matters, personal obsession of ones desires, and the consequences of what will happen if you play with fire….you get burned.  Gordon is starting to feel the uncomfortable pressure of leading an elite strike force.  Nygma is slowly going down a path that will eventually lead him to become the crazy, maniacal puzzler that we know and love.  The Penguin finally gets some good news about his mother, but we all know that the outcome will not be in his favor.
