This week Dutch and Johnny take on a rescue mission to save the mayor’s daughter from a very nasty warlord in the Westerly’s Sugar Hill Territories.  Things get very complicated and dangerous for the Killjoys as they enter in a region overrun by Scavengers.  Dutch’s past is starting to catch up to her and it could be proved dangerous for her fellow Killjoy.

Killjoys Sugar Point Run 01The Good

  • As the Killjoys, Dutch and Johnny, travel to Sugar Hill, we get dig more into Dutch’s past and find out more about the mystery man who saved her back on the planet Qresh. His name is Khlyen, and he has been following her for quite a while.
  • The Red Box is explained in better detail as to why it appears in Dutch’s quarters. Whenever she gets a Red Box, it’s a kill order from Khlyen in which she needs to kill someone whose name is written on paper in the box.
  • Sugar Hill is a region on the moon, Westerley that is ruled by a warlord, Ryo. She has taken the mayor’s daughter from the planet Qresh, and The Company has hired RAC to get her back.  The Company is willing to make a trade for Ryo’s brother, Simon who happens to be in RAC custody in exchange for Vena, the mayor’s daughter.
  • D’Avin joins the rescue mission for the mayor’s daughter. He proves to be an excellent asset for Dutch’s team, even though he is not a sanctioned Killjoy.
  • The Quad planetary system is separated by one planet, Qresh and three moons (Westerley, Leith, and Arkyn). Westerley, is a place where inhabitants survive in regions called The Badlands, Sugar Hill, and Old Towns, etc.
  • Lucy, Dutch’s ship gets shot down by Scavengers at Sugar Hill. Even though there ship is down they must complete the mission.  Dutch and D’Avin continue on while Johnny repairs Lucy.  Johnny is overrun by Scavengers, he discovers that Dutch has added extra security measures for Lucy and didn’t tell him.
  • Dutch, D’Avin, and Simon get ambushed by Scavengers who want to use them for body parts. Dutch is able to escape with the help of her training from childhood, but Simon is unlucky and is killed.
  • She discovers that Ryo didn’t want Simon, but the launch codes hidden inside him. She uses this as leverage for Vena’s release.
  • During the exchange, another group of Scavengers interrupt their exchange and a fire fight begins with Ryo’s men and them. Dutch, D’Avin, and Vena escape to the roof where they find a Weapon of Mass Destruction pointed at a Westerly region called Old Town.  Ryo wants to use this WMD to cripple The Company’s major mining operations for revenge on decimating Sugar Point.
  • Just in time, Johnny flies in and rescues them from Ryo.
  • Back on Lucy, Johnny confronts Dutch about the added security, but she says it’s nothing to worry about.
  • Back on Westerly Badlands, D’avin tells Johnny that he has decided to get a job, because he hates being a third wheel. Dutch suggests that he applies to become a Killjoy, and that she will sponsor him until he passes the test.
  • Last scene shows Dutch subduing a man in a hotel room. She asks him why Khlyen want him dead.
