In the wake of yesterday’s Supergirl trailer and the awesome season finale of Arrow comes a preview that I really wish would have aired last night. We’ve all been on the edge of our seats waiting for more information on this new spin-off show from the superstar team of Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kriesberg, and FINALLY we have our first look at The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow!

It will be more than interesting to see how Sara Lance comes back from the dead, whether it be via the Lazarus Pit or maybe Rip Hunter plucks her out of the timeline before Thea killed her, who knows. But she is back and she is now the White Canary. We also learn who the villain of the series is and it’s none other than the immortal badass Vandal Savage. Hawkgirl in action, The Atom tiny, tons of great stuff in this teaser, but what really gets me is the scope of the show. It feels HUGE. From Savage’s forces to the whole time travel aspect, this show looks to go beyond anything we’ve seen from its predecessors, Arrow and The Flash. That’s what I love about the DC TV universe, it just keeps getting better and better.

Here’s the official synopsis:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
