Pandora is up to no good again when she resurrects Ichabod’s old enemy General Howe.  She tells Howe to resurrect his men that are buried in a mausoleum.  Her endgame is yet to be revealed in the end.

It’s Halloween and Ichabod is at the local bowling alley trying to enjoy our favorite pastime. He looks around and is somewhat critical about how we perceive and celebrate the pagan holiday.  Though he doesn’t object to seeing Ms. Corinth dressed up as Betsy Ross.   But his enjoyment is short lived when he gets a call that the body of General Howe never made it to the Historical Society, that the courier service never made it from Washington.  Ichabod and Abbie investigate the courier service van and notice that the body of General Howe is missing and the driver is dead.  Clues are left that lead to a nearby cemetery and a mausoleum.  They find several dead victims and a broken tomb.  Ichabod mentions that Washington built this mausoleum for the dead British soldiers during the Revolutionary War.  Suddenly General Howe and his British appear and attack them.  Unfortunately Abbie’s and Ichabod’s gun has no effect on them, but they are able to escape because daylight prevented the soldiers from leaving the mausoleum.

Back in the FBI office, Agent Reynolds tells Abbie he is running an ongoing investigation to find these shell companies that are buying up properties all around Westchester.  These shell companies are owned by one umbrella LLC- Court Imports.  On paper this import company is a proprietor of rare antiquities and the warehouses in Syria, Afghanistan, and Iran have all been looted and stolen by terrorists.  He wants to promote her to Task Force Coordinator to help him run it.  Obviously she is flattered but she tells him that she has important matters going on here in Sleepy Hollow.

Back in the Archives, Ichabod is scratching his head trying to figure out how General Howe plays into Pandora’s plan.  He remembers during the Revolution, he is charged with killing Howe during the Invasion of Manhattan by Washington.  But he couldn’t do it, he still had some sort of respect for him.  Unfortunately he feels his action resulted in the destruction of Manhattan.  He failed his mission.

Abbie mentions something in his story that Howe was looking for something when Ichabod met with him.  Ichabod says he was looking for some sort of stone with a Nordic symbol “a man with two swords”.  It symbolizes “dead man walking”.  It suddenly hits Ichabod that they are dealing with a Drauger, a rare breed of undead warriors who swears an oath and duty both in life and death.  They are nocturnal and unstoppable.  They need to find General Howe’s original tomb and destroy it.  Pandora wants to use Howe and his soldiers to raise fear and death on the one night where the veil of the world of the undead and the living are at its weakest, Halloween.

Jenny and Joe dig deeper about the buyer of the Shard.  Joe discovers that one of his father’s old war buddies is behind this, Atticus Nevins.  They go and try to find this Atticus and get a meeting with him  They track the mystery woman who is working for Atticus, Sophie Foster, and make a deal to give him the Shard if he is willing to meet.

Ichabod and Abbie head to the Jeffersonian where they meet up with Agent Booth and Dr. Brennan.  They ask for their help to find General Howe’s Tomb.  They all go on the hunt and find the location of General Howe’s Tomb under the Washington’s Capital.  When they go underground and they set off a trap that is filled with Greek Fire.  With Ichabod’s vast knowledge and Dr. Brennan’s intellect they were able to escape.  Dr. Brennan discovers that Greek fire is nothing more than napalm in its primitive form.  Ichabod remembers Greek fire was used during the Invasion of Manhattan to defeat Howe’s Drauger, but in doing so Betsy Ross set the city ablaze with Greek fire.

Ichabod fears that if they use Greek fire in Sleepy Hollow to defeat Howe, it will destroy the town.  Back in Sleepy Hollow, children are already trick or treating.  Pandora gives Howe orders to go forth and slaughter.  Howe and his Draugar are met with Ichabod, Abbie, Jenny, and Joe.  They lead the soldiers underground to keep the danger away from the people.  Jenny and Joe use a Greek fire weapon against the Draugar and kill them.  Howe and Ichabod meet up, but Howe will not give Ichabod the satisfaction of defeating him, so he sets himself on fire denying Ichabod the satisfaction of killing him.

Back in the FBI office, Abbie tells Ichabod that life is short and take advantage of every moment, she tells him to ask Ms. Corinth out on a date.  Reynolds steps in, but before he says something Abbie says she is flattered that he offered the position of Task Force Coordinator, but she is going to have to decline.  Reynolds reluctantly agrees.  He tells her that Jenny and Joe are caught on camera with one of Nevin’s top operative and that Atticus Nevins is the person the FBI are after

Another good episode this week.  Pandora is starting to be a real thorn in the Witnesses side.  Jenny and Joe are in hot water with the FBI and Abbie.  Guess which one do you want to be in trouble with….not Abbie!!!
