Taken from the classic film “The Wizard of Oz”, this episode brings back a familiar face for the Winchesters to deal with.  Dean is conflicted about his anger issues and Sam must try to keep his brother from going ballistic until he figures out how to remove the Mark of Cain from Dean.

Supernatural Theres no place like home 01The Good

  • Charlie is back……well sort of. She has a split personality thanks to great Wizard of Oz.
  • Sam and Dean must track down their old friend and stop her from doing something she’ll regret.
  • Dark Charlie is on the hunt for revenge with the person who killed her parents years ago. Dean is sent to find her and stop her.
  • Dean is seeing himself through her. Her rage and passion is a mirror image of what Dean is going through.
  • The Good Charlie is with Sam trying to find the one person that can stop the dark version of her. This person is also split in two.  The darker version of this man is the Wizard of Oz, and the good version is in hiding.
  • The Dark Charlie got justice for her parents, and now she is after the good version. Dean fights with dark version to prevent her from harming the good one.  His rage through the Mark nearly kills the dark version until Sam stops him.
  • I forgot to mention that the two versions of Charlie can feel everything with one another. Every punch Dean throws at the dark version, the good version feels it.  Dean nearly kills her.

Supernatural Theres no place like home 02The Bad

  • Too bad it took this long to bring back one of my favorite characters in the series. I hope we get to see more of Felicia Day.
  • I like the story arc of the Mark of Cain, but the speed as to which it is going is pretty slow.
  • No Castiel, I would have loved to see him encounter Charlie. That would be sweet.
  • Sam is losing an uphill battle with keeping Dean in check and he knows it.

This episode is a delight because it brought back Charlie, both versions of her.  Dean still fights the rage and anger brought upon the Mark, and slowly he is starting to decline.  He almost killed one of his closest and dear friend, and he is going to have to live with that.  Just like Charlie she forgives him, but he can’t.
