The Inquisition will have to wait until November – Bioware pushes back release for Dragon Age sequel
In an announcement made by Bioware on July 22nd, the release date has been pushed back from October 2014 to November 18, 2014.
In a statement from Mark Darrah, Executive Producer for Inquisition, he discusses why the extra time is needed:
“This last bit of time is about polishing the experience we want you to see. Ensuring that our open spaces are as engaging as possible. Strengthening the emotional impact of the Hero’s choices. And ensuring the experience you get is the best it can be in the platform you choose to play on.”
While I’m sad to have to wait, this will give me a blissful entire month with the other twenty games I’ll be playing this Fall. There is nothing worse than when a studio rushes a game to market that isn’t ready *cough* SimCity *cough*.

Bioware also asks “What Really Happens When We Sleep?”  in Teaser for New IP. The brief teaser follows a man who is apparently living a nightmare. (Which, oddly, seems to draw some inspiration from Garbage’s “Push It” video from way back when, which is also worth a look…)
A new site has also been launched, as well as other material, including the search for a missing girl and a fictional university.
The site advises “You have been chosen” along with Cologne, Germany, which will host Gamescom in August.
This trailer could either tease the new IP that was announced at E3 earlier this year, or a collaboration with Failbetter Studios. It’s too early to tell as the trailer did not include any actual gameplay footage.
