It’s difficult to predict what will happen when filming begins for the sequel to the blockbuster hit The Amazing Spider-Man! I would like to believe that director Marc Webb will do us all right once again and deliver a film that is on par with what he came up with the first time around or even better! But this speculation of multiple villains and over-saturation of casting has gotten me a little worried! Then there’s this, a reveal of the new suit:

Looks to me just like the Raimi suit! Is this film on a road to disaster? What I am afraid of is that since AMS2 is not under the custodial watch of Marvel Comics or Mark Millar over at Fox, are we looking at an inevitable sh*tshow? A movie based only on advertising and merchandising where the characters take a backseat to money. Let’s hope not, we pray that studios, at least Sony, has learned the hard lessons of a film like Spider-Man 3! Let’s hope so….
We also get some sweet behind-the-scenes looks at Andrew Garfield and some of the new “suit” in action. Check those out below.
We also get to see Shailene Woodley‘s, Mary Jane Watson, for the first time!
In a recent interview with The New York Times, actor Dane Dehann, who will be playing Harry Osborne, had the following to say about his preperation for the role:
“I’ve been preparing. Right now it’s just about getting all my work done and bulking up a little bit. I’ll start shooting fairly soon in New York. I work out incredibly intensely six days a week and I eat every two hours. Mostly proteins and veggies. I consume at least 3,000 calories a day. I’ve already gained seven pounds in six weeks!”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to swing into theaters on May 2nd, 2014!
In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Stay tooned 😛
