Now that we know that Wonder Woman will be making her big cameo in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel, there has been a lot of opinions out there on the subject. But let’s hear from the mouth of the woman who will play Diana and also who played the Amazonian Princess/superheroine on the classic TV show. Metro caught up with Linda Carter and here is what she had to say in regards to the casting of Gal Gadot in the iconic role:

It’s been said that you’re too skinny for the part. Wonder Woman is large-breasted, is that going to change?
Hmm. I represent the Wonder Woman of the new world. Breasts… anyone can buy for 9,000 shekels and everything is fine. By the way, Wonder Woman is amazonian, and historically accurate amazonian women actually had only one breast. So, if I’d really go “by the book”…it’d be problematic.
So you’re not going to gain a little weight and start eating carbs before filming begins?
It’s the physical preparations that I’m starting now. A very serious training regimen – Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, jujutsu, Brazilian…1,000 and 1 things…I’ll gain body mass.

Metro: Gal Gadot’s just been cast as Wonder Woman in the forthcoming Superman film – will it be odd to see someone else playing her?
LC: I don’t think so. It was a long time ago. I care more about the character continuing than holding on to my piece of it. I hope she has fun with it.
Metro: There’s been some criticism that Wonder Woman’s an additional character in Superman rather than getting her own film.
LC: And maybe that’s better. She won’t have to carry the whole film. It takes the pressure off. I wish her well. I’m just glad she’s going to be out there again. Maybe she’ll get her own show again.

Frustrating as it is, I can’t seem to pre-order the next upcoming animated DC Comics animated film, Justice League: War on Amazon! It is scheduled to come out in February of next year, so that should be enough time for the store to get their act together hopefully, I don’t pay for Prime not to have to movie at my doorstep the day it comes out! Anywho, I am looking forward to this interpretation of Geoff Johns launch story of the New 52 Justice League, especially since it features Darkseid as the villain! Check out the latest slew of stills from the film!
Another DC related thing I CAN’T WAIT for is the return of Arrow, only a few more weeks! Check out this cool concept art from some of the season 2 characters including Black Canary, Brother Blood, Bronze Tiger, and Arrow’s new domino mask!

With the upcoming Flash TV show on the horizon, there are more and more rumors of which characters will be making cameos on it. Recent ones include classic hero, Vibe showing up. Moviehole says they have the scoop that the vibrating hero will be fighting crime alongside our favorite Scarlet Speedster! What do you think Towelites? Does Vibe fit into this world? Will Geoff Johns have a lot to do with the marketing of this character? I’m sure he will!
Finally I leave you with an image of the villain that would have been featured in Bryan Singer’s followup to Superman Returns, though I don’t think any of us would have given it a shot. Well at least we have Man of Steel 2….
I give you Brainiac!
