Another episode of Game of Thrones has passed, and while nothing crazy happened, it’s starting to pick up (and ending the episode with a sour taste).

Let’s start with the cool. Arya is slowly training in the ways of being nobody, and when later in the episode she is able to present herself as someone else (by lying very well), Jaqen finally takes he into the secret room, where we get the revelation of what’s been going on with all those bodies… they keep the faces (which they obviously use to wear/become – as we’ve seen Jaqen do himself). And while he states she is still not ready to be “nobody”, she is finally ready to be somebody else… so we’re about to see where Arya’s training is going and who she will start to become.

Episode 6 "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" Williams, Maisie as Arya Stark

Tyrions troubles continue with no end, as he and Jorah continue travelling only to be captured by pirates (the very same friend of Davos from earlier seasons). Fortunately for them, they’re being taken to Mereen (which is where they need to go anyway). Unfortunately for them, Jorah is meant to fight in the pits as a slave (now that Dani has technically re-opened them), while Tyrion means to be killed once they find someone to buy his manhood. Yeah, you heard that correctly. This is a little more similar to what’s going on in the books, so we’ll see how things will end up.

GoT5.6-Tyrion

Jaime and Bronn make it to Dorne the same time the Sand Snakes attempt to kidnap Myrcella. While able to foil the plan, the end up all getting caught by Dornish guards. I don’t remember how it plays out with the Sand Snakes in the books (Jaime isn’t even in Dorne in the books), but here they’re all caught. Did someone get cut during the fight? Do the sandsnakes have poison on their weapons too like their father? Probably not, or they may have made more of a point to show it. I guess we’ll see. Either way, Jaime being caught down here is the biggest issue (and completely different from the book), so we’ll see how all this ends up.

Meanwhile, sister Cersei continues to play her games, setting traps (while playing innocent all along), and even Lady Olenna (who awesomely returns btw) can’t stop her. And to see Margaery arrested for questioning later by the Sparrows is just showing how good (and evil) Cersie is. Let’s see how this goes for the whole group.

Littlefinger, as always, seems to be scheming to get his way.  Now it looks like he might be working a different angle with Cersei.  I still think he’ll make sure to looks after Sansa, but he did in fact leave her to deal with Ramsey, so clearly, he only cares about himself.

Speaking of, the most disturbing scene of the episode was the fact that Sansa and Ramsey finally got married.  And when he takes her to bed… he basically rapes her, as he forces Theon/Reek, to just stand and watch.  As mentioned, Sansa never leaves the Eyrie (instead there is a Arya look a like this happens to), so having put Sansa in this predicament is pretty messed up.  Who knows how this will all play out.  Maybe Sansa can cut off that little pricks little prick and choke him with it.

If the show will be playing out the events book 5 ends with, then things should be heating up in the last few episodes.  I guess we’ll see.  Till best week,
