Wesen of the Week
Falterseele– A frog like female wesen that secretes a toxin from the skin when provoked. Her beauty unknowingly attracts men and when they become aroused the Falterseele defends herself by introducing a deadly poison to her victim and creating a massive heart attack.
This week Nick and Hank investigate a couple of murders that involves a wesen that can break men’s hearts…literally. Juliette is not having any luck finding a way to reverse her condition. The Royals have brought in a new Prince to replace the old one, Victor, and Nick is failing to reach Juliette and he feels helpless about it.
The Good
- Bella Turner, the Falterseele, is the Typhoid Mary of wesen-kind. Her defense mechanism of the deadly poison toxin has already killed two men.
- A new face has arrived to take over Prince Victor’s mission to find Adalind’s baby. Prince Kenneth is more ruthless and intelligent than his predecessor, Victor.
- Adalind’s plan to name Victor as the father of her baby has failed. Kenneth sees right through her.
- Renard’s assisant, Damarov is killed by Prince Kenneth in order to lure Renard to the paper mill. Kenneth gives Renard a choice to join him in finding the baby or die like Damarov. Renard refuses and they fight each other, until Renard is defeated.
- Juliette is moving out of Nick’s house. Nick confronts her and tries to reassure her that he has not given up on her, but she laughs in his face.
- Nick and Hank finds Bella at her mother. Bella’s grandmother is there as well ready to fix Bella so that she can’t hurt anyone anymore by branding her skin with a red hot brand on her face. Nick stops the grandmother
- Rosalee and Monroe find a way to help neutralize Bella’s poisonous skin, but she warns her that there will be side effects. Bella doesn’t care, as long as she can be intimate with someone and not kill him.
- The last scene we see Bella on a date with a tattooed piercing man, and her appearance has changed, but she is happy.
The Bad
- Juliette’s Hexenbeist has made her cold towards Nick.
- With Juliette staying at Renard’s is a recipe for disaster for the next episode.
Love is not in the air for anybody in Portland. Nick’s relationship with Juliette is crumbling down around him and he feels helpless now more than ever. The search for Kelly Burkhardt and Adalind’s baby has introduced a new character to create trouble for Renard and the Grimm.
