Star Wars is a franchise that will probably be around forever, especially with Episode VII headed to theaters this winter! Disney ha really reignited the franchise by revamping the canon and starting it fresh with a new cartoon, books, and comics. But what would Star Wars be without the many collectibles that are based on the series? Well Hasbro will be releasing a ton of great products this year including action figures, customizable lightsabers, and more! Check out what the company had on display at their Toy Fair Showroom! The Black Series
Star Wars figures in the six inch scale? YES PLEASE! The Black Series has been super successful for Hasbro and it looks like the line will have great longevity! Wave 7 is due out in a couple of months and on display in the showroom we saw what looks to be Wave 8 and 9! From the looks of things, the face sculpts are vastly improving and we are finally getting some classic (much needed) characters. Also coming soon will be a deluxe set of Hoth Luke and the Wampa, I can’t believe how accurate and scary that monster looks! The Black Series generally retails for around $20 and can be found at most major retailers!
Star Wars Rebels
Rebels is one of my favorite animated shows, let me restate that, Rebels is one of my favorite shows on TV! Being a collector of Star Wars action figures, naturally I was really excited at the prospect of getting 3.75″ figures that do an spectacular job emulating the look of the show. Two of the figures that I am anticipating the most are Hera and Sabine, both will be available in the ‘Mission Series’ two-packs, each come packed with a Stormtrooper. This is a great addition as we all love the idea of army-building! Single figure retail for around $6 and the two-packs generally are available for approx $10.
