This week it is a race against time for the CDC to find a cure before the military take care of the island, permanently. Julia and Sara work together to try to save the world and Sara’s baby. Peter and Ann take control of the Abbey and Alan is still working to finding a cure.
The Good
- The first five minutes of this episode are very graphic. Scientists use a baboon to show the military how lethal organophosphate pesticide can be. What is even more chilling is the female scientist’s cold emotionless reaction to the horrible death of this animal.
- Plan B is total eradication of every living thing on the island using planes to aero-spray the organophosphate pesticide.
- Amy gets her silver eyes. But Julia and Sara deceive her into thinking she is immortal now.
- Peter and Ann begin their plan to take over the Abbey. They get the infected Kyle to attack Alan. Soren saves Alan and Kyle by injecting them both with his own blood. Soren’s blood is the cure to the mycotoxin.
- Alan finally finds Julia. Their reunion is bittersweet. But it’s about time.
- The conservation between Ann and Amy is not the Hallmark card moment you would expect. Ann gives Amy one last chance to apologize for everything she has done before it’s too late, Amy laughs in her face.
- Olivia is reunited with Soren, she is grateful to Alan for saving him.
- Plan B is underway. “Somewhere Over the Rainbows” plays in the background while everybody outside the Abbey is killed, including Amy, who foolishly believes that her newly granted immortality can save her. But she’s is not dead, just seriously ill from the pesticide. Her body is being dragged through the courtyard by Peter, along with all the military soldiers who were trapped outside when the pesticide fell.
- Julia retrieves the ‘Mother’ Root, only to find it dead.
The Bad
- Is Sara’s baby still in Amy’s body?
- Is the 30 year time jump finished?
- It is hard to believe that Peter can be manipulated so easily by Ann. She has him wrapped around her finger.
- Michael is still in the Oubliette. Is that the last we see Michael this season?
- Now that the Mother Root is dead, how is Julia going to stop Ilaria from implementing their genocidal plan?
Only two episodes left in this season. I don’t know how Alan, Julia, Kyle, and Sara are going to stop Peter and Ann’s takeover of the Abbey. Julia’s alternative plan to save the planet from Ilaria’s devastation is dead; she only has two days to stop it.
