I remember when I first read the His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman. I was walking through the Young Adult section at Barnes and Noble and saw a little girl riding a polar bear. I didn’t even read the back of the book, that image alone was powerful enough for me to pick up the book. From then on, I went on an emotional rollercoaster through the best books I’ve ever read; and I’ve read a LOT. When The Golden Compass was coming to the big screen, I was very excited; but it ultimately didn’t live up to the books. Alas, I figured that was all that we’d hear of the series being adapted; but fret not.

Bad Wolf Productions (helmed by producers Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner, who had a big hand in bringing Doctor Who back to airwaves) are teaming up with writer Jack Thorne (Skins) to bring the adaptation to life. All the news we have is this tweet below, but that’s good enough for me.
