The identity of Hobbs is finally revealed. The Hawkins is dealing with some marital and family issues. Leo is getting help from an unsuspecting source to find Mia (Anita), and Peter’s attitude toward Synth’s are starting to turn sour.
- Leo tells Niska that he found a program within Mia’s (Anita) root source code left by his father David Elster that could possibly give every Synth consciousness. He stashes Niska with Dr. George Millican until he can find Fred and Mia.
- Hobbs is given an order to destroy Fred to prevent anybody from taking him. His colleagues consider Fred and his conscious Synth family a national and global threat.

- Niska finds out that Millican, Elster, and Hobbs were once colleagues on the early Synth program. Hobbs is actually Professor Edwin Hobbs. Unfortunately, Millican finds out that Niska is the murderous Snyth the police are looking for.
- Feeling guilty about what he did, Joe confesses to Laura that it was he who had sex with Anita and justifies it that she is just a sex toy and an appliance. Disgusted by him, Laura kicks Joe out of the house.
- Hobbs shows his colleagues a destroyed Snyth body confirming that it is Fred, but something is not right about his demeanor and attitude.
- Karen talks to Peter about her theory that they should be looking for a Synth posing as a human female. He says if that is so, then that changes everything when Synths pretend to be humans. Karen walks away trying to not to react, but she knows she is everything that Peter fears.
- Peter finds himself at a Pro-Human/Anti-Synth rally where he is getting inspired by what the speakers is saying.
This week a lot is revealed about Dr. Millican and his connection with the Synth program. We get to see more of Det. Peter Drummond and how he is dealing with his separation with his wife and his feelings towards Synths. Det. Karen Voss is still hiding the fact that she is a conscious Synth from everybody, especially her partner. Millican comes face to face with David’s final creation of true A.I., and gets a dark picture of how A.I. perceives humans. Leo sinks to some form of depression after his failed attempt to reach Mia, and the Hawkins family is split apart after what Joe did. Next week, Hobbs takes steps to his advantage with the Synth problem.
