This week it is a family reunion for the Synths. Laura and Mattie find a way to grow closer together while Joe is still in the doghouse. Fred is alive and George and Niska try to get along despite their views on humans.
- Fred is alive and looked after by Hobbs. Hobbs tries to convince Fred that he is here to help him. But Fred doesn’t believe him. Fred takes out Hobbs guard and wounds Hobbs in the leg.
- Niska is still hiding in George’s house. She still has a huge chip on her shoulders when it comes to humans. She tries to threaten George with a knife but he doesn’t believe that she will harm him because he is starting to grow on her. Odi finds his way home and George tries to fix him. Niska helps him.
- Tension grows with Mattie and Laura. Laura finally tells Mattie about Tom. Tom is Laura’s little brother who died when she was eleven. Laura mom holds her responsible for his death because Laura was supposed to look out for Tom. Since then Laura and her mom never reconciled.
- Laura was afraid that she was losing Mattie, the same way Laura lost her mother over the terrible tragedy.
- Mia finally resurfaces and nearly gives Laura and Mattie a heart attack while in the car. Laura begins to understand (Anita) Mia and why she was acting so strange.
- Mattie finds Leo and Max. Before Mattie brings them to see Mia, she insists to know who they really are. Leo tells her that his father, Dr. David Elster, resurrected him after he died in a drowning accident. He is part human-part Synth. Mia was Leo’s caretaker after his accident. Then Dr. Elster created Fred, Niska, and Max. They were the first conscious Synths.
- Mattie brings Leo and Max to her home where Anita is there. They are able to revive Mia and purge the Anita Program out of her system.
- Fred calls them and wants to meet. Joe watches Leo and Max leave the house and calls the police.
- Max sacrifices himself in order for Leo to escape.
- Peter’s marriage is over. Karen reveals to Peter that she is a Synth after they had sex.
Two more episodes left in the season. Mia is finally free from the Anita Program, but that is a short victory when Leo and Max try to escape from Hobbs and the police. Max is dead, and Karen is a potential threat to the Synths. Next week we will find out more about Karen and where she came from.
