There has been a lot of speculation to the extent that Disney would use HULU after the acquisition of FOX. Marvel has had some rough patches when it comes to their live-action TV shows but it looks like with Disney+ coming and now two new series announced for HULU that things are headed in the right direction!
Today it was announced that not one but two new shows are headed to the streaming service! First up we have Ghost Rider! Gabriel Luna will reprise his role as Robbie Reyes who we met on Agents of SHIELD. I like that they chose to go in this direction because it’s supposed to be “all connected”.
I also like Reyes’ Ghost Rider and I think that he will have a good reception when the Spirit of Vengeance returns to the small screen. Also announced is Helstrom which will tell the story of two siblings , Daimon and Ana Helstrom (Hellstrom) whose father was a powerful and mysterious serial killer. Both shows will explore the darker side of the Marvel Universe and hopefully light the way for more “adult” shows. Runaways has been popular and I still need to watch it, but this has proven that Marvel shows can work across different platforms. Look for Ghost Rider and Helstrom to debut on HULU in 2020!
