The last couple weeks, Marvel has released the final five teasers for their Secret War event;
Age of Apocalypse
Future Imperfect
Amazing Spider-man: Renew Your Vows
Avengers Vs. X-men
and X-men ’92
All teasing either major events, or major periods in each characters history. This was shortly followed by a cryptic teaser: Everything Ends. One thing to note is that this is the only teaser to have “Spring 2015” instead of “Summer 2015”.
This teaser is in reference to something Reed Richards said in Jonathan Hickman’s New Avengers series. Something that became one of the central point in his series and is currently building up to the Secret Wars, which is also written by Hickman.
Shortly after that final teaser, we got a nice little video to solidify my belief that this is the end of the Marvel Universe as we know it.
This teases at not just the end of the universe, but a final battle on an unknown world. A battle featuring all of the teasers we’ve seen. Each teaser, with the exception of Attilan Rising and The End, take place on a different continent of this world. I also noticed that as the teasers were placed on the continent, they light up in a bright color, while the end shows far more colorful continents. Does this mean that there are even more battles going on that we are not privy to? Who knows, the only thing I know is that I am unbelieveably excited for this event. The destruction of everything we know.
