One of the best things about NYCC is the comics, these “Pop-Culture” events have become so diluted with all of the other aspects of the geek world that they should really change the name! So what did the big publishers have to share with fans this year? Here are some of the highlights from the panels at NYCC!
Marvel Comics
-Silver Surfer, the greatest herald of Galactus will get his own series
-Black Widow, the final Avenger to get their own series
-All New X-Factor, wait didn’t Peter David just end this..wait it’s all new?!
-Johnny Blaze is Ghost Rider, the original rider returns and joins the Thunderbolts!
-Iron Patriot, Rhodey takes the mantle in this Iron Man 3-esque move
-All New Invaders- Therrrrrre back!! The orignal team from WWII returns to battle an old foe!
DC Comics
-Batman 75th Anniversary- in 2014 get ready for the year of the Bat!
-Batman Eternal- Weekly series by James Tynion IV will bring back Stephanie Brown as Spoiler
-Death of Superboy?! Connor Kent to meet his demise to be replaced by a future baby Kent!
Dark Horse Comics
– Aliens, Predators, Prometheus, and AvP return to comics and share a universe! I can’t wait for this…its one of the only non-superhero genre I will read normally.
IDW Publishing
-The Crow Pestilence will be a new series about our favorite
-Transformers/GI-Joe will have its own crossover
Dynamite Entertainment
-Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Solar: Man of the Atom, Magnus: Robot Fighter, and The Occult Files of Doctor Spektor will all return with some of the best talent in the industry headlining these GOLD KEY titles!
