What happens when two of your favorite shows have the same creator? The option for crossovers; which is what we’ll get this November on the next season of the Simpsons, which will feature an episode with Futurama!
That’s right folks, the episode titled Simpsorama is coming (which includes the full Futurama cast) and it sounds like the most exciting news ever. I know their is actually a comic book with the two shows crossing over (though I have not read it… yet), but to get an actual episode of this sound absolutely amazing.
Side bar: During the revelation, it was also mentioned that during the season premier of the Simpsons on September 28th, one of the main characters of the show will be killed off!
With the great Lego episode last season, I’m happy to say that lately the Simpsons has been having many memorable episodes, and it looks like this is going to be another one. And with the recent 3D rendering of Futurama’s New New York that’s recently been circulating the interwebs, excitement is at an all time high!
Many have been dreaming for the return of Futurama, including Simpsons/Futurama creator Matt Groaning. Maybe this is the little boost to have the show picked up one more time… from yet another network! Though I have to admit, as much as I love the idea of having my all time favorite show (Futurama) come back, I’m almost thinking it shouldn’t. The show had been flawless, through all its episodes, networks and movies; and any continuation may be risking tarnishing it’s perfect overall quality.
Either way, I’m super excited to see it through one of my other favorite shows, the Simpsons. Can’t wait for the awesomeness!
