Without even so much as an official casting, Star Wars Episode VII is going into production starting in May! We literally know NOTHING about the J. J. Abrams-directed sequel, other than R2-D2 will be in the film. As excited as I am, and I am VERY excited, I’m really hoping that Disney starts leaking some casting news!

The shooting news comes from Drew McWeeny and you can see what he has to say on the scoop below.

[box_light]Multiple sources now have confirmed for us that “Star Wars Episode VII” is set to start shooting mid-May and will run through September of this year, and most principal casting on the film is complete, with many announcements still to come. While Abrams had mentioned May during the TCA press tour and there had been speculation about the summer date, the full production schedule was finally confirmed for us.[/box_light]

So, while this is still not an OFFICIAL announcement, it’s still something to get your lightsabers in a bunch for! As more Episode VII news comes here to DFAT, we’ll let you little padawans know if the Force is with you!
