WARNING SPOILAGE MAY LIE AHEAD
There have been a many a rumors surrounding that Galaxy not too far, far away. With Star Wars Episode VII set to hit theaters next December, we are seeing more and more from the production of this exciting project. Recently we shared with you the plot rumor, or at least what sets up the beginning of the film. What I don’t like about this is that they say it’s Luke’s hand, which makes no sense seeing that it feel to a planet and not space. My thoughts are that it’s Vader’s hand, because that was actually chopped off in space.
Now, villains. Word has it that Star Wars Rebels will be setting up the universe in a major way, especially when it comes to the villains. A lot of what I am going to share with you today comes from the site Indie Revolver and ARE NOT confirmed by Disney or J.J. Abrams, so please take all of this, as usual, with a grain of salt. Though it does make a lot of sense. Apparently the main villains in Episode VII will be the Sith Inquisitors, who in fact have kidnapped Luke Skywalker after the events of Return of the Jedi. The Inquisitors of the film differ from that of what we’ve seen in Rebels because they will be more like cybernetic beings. So how do you make a group of basically unknown characters such prominent villains? You create the mythos is Rebels with this guy!
According to IR, this is what they will look like in Episode VII:
While I am confident that the movie will somehow involve these scary guys, I am very skeptical about this piece of concept art. Speaking of concept art, IR also has revealed what Han Solo will be supposedly will be wearing on his adventures throughout the movie.
Both look to be VERY familiar looks. The first reminds me of what he wore on Endor and the second on Hoth. For all we know some kid drew these in class when he was bored. Again I am not convinced as of now, but there is talk about the environments are heroes will exploring and these outfits kinda fit the bill. Rumors have bounced around from a new jungle planet, to a return to Hoth, and of course from the set designs that we’ve seen from J.J. Abrams, we are probably going to see Tatooine once again.
Then next pictures are a little more on the convincing side, check out what the Stormtrooper helmets may look like!
The first is a great mash-up between the Clone Trooper helmet and the classic Stormtrooper. The second is rumored to be a “jungle” trooper, but if you think about it especially with the Han Solo winter look, this may be an update to the classic Snowtrooper!
Once again please take all of this as rumors for now until we see some official pics released by Disney. I mean some nerd could have put all of this together in Photoshop for all we know! But it is fun to speculate and get excited for the next chapter of the greatest sci-fi epic of all time!
Star Wars Episode VII is due out on December 18th, 2015!
May the Force be with you!
