The game takes a minute or so to load, which is quite fast when you compare it to other free online games. The aim of the game is to help ‘Slime’ (your character) get out of the castle. Each level is a new maze, which means that you get a chance to try out new skills.
Simplest Graphics
The graphics are simple and cartoon-like in style, which gives the feel of a classic arcade game. It also means that the game is quite fast and you don’t have to wait too long for any of the levels to load. The style is reminiscent of traditional Game Boy games, such as Zelda, especially when you look at the background of it. When you play the game, you will notice that the Slime character moves fast around the castle, which is perfect for the style of game.
Increasingly Hard Levels
The first level is quite easy – you should complete it after one or two attempts. Don’t let that fool you, though; the first level eases you into the game. After that the puzzles get harder and harder. You need to have quite a logical mind to play this game (and win). If you find that you struggle with puzzle games, in general, this one will not be for you. There are no cheats for this game, which means that you have to play fair.
Energy Levels
When you are playing the game, you will notice a little energy bar at the bottom of the screen. It has a heart next to it, which is how you know that it is an energy bar. The more moves you make, the less energy you have, which makes sense if you think about it. If you run out of energy, you have to reset the level. That means that you lose all your hard work. In essence, this means that you need to complete each level in a certain amount of moves. Too many attempts means that you have to start again.
Difficulty: High
The difficulty of this game is quite high, especially if you are a beginner. The game does not have a complex plot – you simply have to get slime out of the castle. When you compare it to other dungeon games, you will see that it is a simple version of a classic idea.
Verdict
