The Turtles are back and they make a new friend right off the bat.  Leo is still hoping to save Karai from Shredder, but the others especially Raph has very little optimism for that to happen   But in the meantime a mysterious woman suddenly appears out of thin air, literally.  Her name is Renet and she calls herself a Time Master.  She claims to have come from the future where the Turtles are legends and have saved the world many times.  She says they are known as Turtle Warriors of Legend and has come back to seek their help.  Everybody but Mikey is extremely skeptical about this mysteriously crazy woman and approaches her story with caution.  On the other hand, Mikey welcomes her with open arms and immediately has a crush on her.

Leo insists that Renet explains what she wants from them.  She tells them of an evil mutant Time Master name Savanti Romero who is determine to manipulate space and time by wielding The Time Scepter she has in her possession.  By jumping within the time stream from period to period she is able to be one step ahead of him, but she can’t do this alone, so she came to this time period to ask for help from the Turtle Warriors of Legend.  Just then Savanti appears and fights them and Renet for the Scepter, but Renet is able to send him into the time stream.  Unfortunately, she fears that Romero will alter the past and damage the present and future, so she must track him down and bring him back to where he can’t harm anybody else.  As she goes into the time stream, Mikey follows her along with the other turtles.

They end up in medieval times in the year 980 A.D. during the Arthurian period.  Mikey gets his wish from Renet and she gives them clothes fitting for this era, well sort of.  Instead of armor and fancy weapons, they wear garments they wore when they were LARPing in the NY tunnels. It’s pretty comical and just the right fashion for their personality and attitude.  They are met with knights that claim they are evil green orcs and place them under arrest.  Renet and the Turtles break free of their captors and are able to overcome them.  She asks them they are looking for someone named Savanti Romero.  The knights shake with fear of that name and warn them about him, just then Romero appears and takes the Scepter from Renet and disappears.  Renet confesses to them that she is not a true Time Master but an assistant Time Master in training and wants to prove to her real Time Master, Lord Simultaneous (REALLY!!!!!!!!), that she is worthy of being a Time Master.  Mikey doesn’t care about her misdirection and deception, he still likes her anyway.  The others are still unsure about her, but they trek on to Savanti’s Tower of Terror.  On their way, Savanti gives them another obstacle to overcome, an army of skeletal warriors.  Just like in Jason and the Argonauts, these bone warriors are very hard to kill and the only way for the Turtles and Renet to escape is to just run and they did.

They finally find Savanti in his evil lair.  But he has become very powerful.  They fight him with everything they got.  The fight scene is like an old Charlie Chaplin film where he is tumbling down the inner workings of a clock tower with huge wheels and cogs spinning all around.  They were finally able to defeat him and send him back into the time stream.

Renet takes the Turtles back in the time stream, but something is wrong.  Renet gets separated from them and the Turtles are pulled out of the stream and into Japan 17 years in the past, before they were created by Splinter, Hamato Yoshi.  Coincidentally and ironically they end up in Japan where Splinter and Shredder grew up, on the property of the Hamato clan and their ninja dojo.  The Hamato ninjas surround them ready to fight.

This week is a good episode.  We meet another friend and possible ally for the Turtles.  Mikey has found someone he feels has a connection to.  It is refreshing to see a new location and theme in this episode.  Next week, we continue the time jump storyline with Splinter and Shredder’s past and their feud with each other.
