Karai is back, and this time she has the Turtles right where she wants them.  With Donnie trying to come up with a cure for Karai, Leo begins to doubt that he can help her.  Tension starts to build in the lair.  Splinter seems to be the only sane and rational mutant out of the group.  Leo asks him if the Ancient Healing Hands can help cure her.  He said that it is possible.  But even Splinter is doubtful it might work.  One by one they get lured out of the lair by a phone call that leads them into a trap setup by Karai.  Her main mission is to draw out Splinter and force him to rescue his family, and then fight her to the death.

Each of the Turtles get trapped in a room specifically design to their personalities and vulnerabilities.  She even names the rooms to fit their deadly challenges.  Leo gets the Courage Slayer where a spinning device with deadly ninja blades slowly descend towards him.  Raph gets the Hot Head where he is being roasted alive.  Donnie is in the Brain Boggler, a room where he is wired into a virtual reality game where he has to complete a Tetris type game and if he gets any of the moves wrong he gets brain zapped.  Mikey gets the most disgusting room of all, the Flush-O-Matic.  He is strapped down to a table where a huge tank above him is filled with mutagen.  I guess you probably know what happens if he is not able to escape this one.  On a lighter note, Mikey uses his goofy and witty charm to insult the person who came up with the Flush-O-Matic.  He would have named it Flush of Fear, or The Toilet of Terror, or better yet The Dump of Doom.  Personally, I like The Dump of Doom.  Each one of the Turtles struggles to find a way to escape these deadly rooms.  Leo finally realizes that working together they are able to win.

Meanwhile, back in the lair Splinter gets a call from April and tells him that the Turtles have been taken by Karai, just then Karai’s voice interrupts her and threatens him that if he wants to save them, he would have to come and rescue him, but fight her as well.  Splinter charges out of the lair to rescue his family knowing what he must do save his sons and April.  He must fight his daughter to the death.

When Splinter reaches the place where the Turtles and April are being held, immediately Karai attacks him.  He is trying very hard to not seriously harm her, but she is giving everything she got to defeat him.  The fight between them is intense.  She evens uses her mutant ability to try to get an advantage.  Knowing that she will not stop, Splinter decides to use the Ancient Healing Hand on her.  It works, but she stumbles back falls into a large drain.  The Turtles are able to escape their rooms of death to meet up with their master.  They get there just in time to see Karai fall and once again lose her.  Splinter fears that this is the last time he will ever see her again.  In the last scene we see Karai climb into a tunnel vomiting the brain worm out of her.

Does this mean that Karai is cured by her father, Splinter?  Will she return back to the Turtles?  Where is Shredder knowing that he always keeps a close eye on her?  Karai always seem to get dealt a bad hand every time we see her.  I hope one day, she will get a break.  This is the daughter of Hamato Yoshi, she deserves better than this.  I like the fact that Splinter steps in and faces his daughter again.  It is fitting that he would be the one to save her, but not knowing whether she is alive or dead is torture for him.  Hopefully this story arc of Karai will end on a high note.
