A boy looked through a mirror at three very familiar but equally distant faces. Each one in sequence, each on carrying a heavier burden on his shoulders. Different styles, even if just barely, each coated in the blue glow of a computer screen. None of them acknowledged him, he would have been concerned if they did.

Eternity #1 (Valiant)

Matt Kindt (W) Trevor Hairsine (A)

I really loved the Divinity saga. The first ones were my favorite, but as a whole I still think the whole thing was a great series. This is the spiritual successor to that series and I am incredibly excited for it to start.

Gasolina #2 (Image)

Sean Mackiewicz (W) Niko Walter (A)

Picked up issue #1 on a whim and I wasn’t totally feeling it. It wasn’t bad necessarily, but I felt like it was retreading ground in terms of the story. I’ll keep reading for a bit and see if that changes.

The Flash #33 (DC)

Joshua Williamson (W) Howard Porter (A)

“Didn’t you stop following this series” is something you’d say if you didn’t realize that this was a Metal tie in. So, you know, don’t say that.

Black Panther #166 (Marvel)

Ta-Nehisi Coates (A) Leonard Kirk (A)

Almost as if a film with Klaw in it were coming out within the year, suddenly appears the master of sound himself. I feel like I should have seen this coming, but I totally didn’t. You win this time.

Samurai Jack: Quantum Jack #2 (IDW)

Fabian Rangel Jr. (W) Warwick J. Cadwell (A)

I really loved the first issue, but it kinda gave me the vibe that it was just going to be a series of one off issues. I hope that isn’t the case, because I’d love to see more of these characters.

Wonder Woman #33 (DC)

James Robinson (W) Ray McCarthy (A)

Not as bad as the last arc, not as good as the first. It’s a mixed bag with this new team. It’s a decent enough story, but I kinda hope it goes a little bigger.

X-O Manowar #8 (Valiant)

Matt Kindt (W) Doug Braithwaite (A)

Talking about going big. This series plays out like the most bonkers else-world ever. It’s such a great new direction for the character, I wonder how long it will remain.

Detective Comics #967 (DC)

James Tynion IV (W) Eddy Barrows (A)

I’m getting a serious case of “it was only a dream” fever from this book. What has happened in the last few issues has to be rectified, and I’m afraid it will all be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Or some other melodramatic nonsense.

Batman: The Merciless #1 (DC)
Peter J. Tomasi (W) Francis Manapul (A)

I’ve caught a couple pages of this comic while surfing the inter-tube, and let me say, it is going to blow some pants off. I think people will be pleasantly surprised by this one.

Outcast #31 (Image)

Robert Kirkman (W) Paul Azaceta (A)

BACKSTORY ISSUE TIME! You remember that guy who just showed the fuck up and acted like he ran the place, because he ran the place? Well, we find out how he got to be the guy who is the guy who is running the place.

Thanos #12 (Marvel)

Jeff Lemire (W) German Peralta (A)

The last issue of the Lemire/Peralta run on this book. While I’m sad to see it go, let me tell you, I am fucking pumped for the next arc. Cates and Shaw can have my Thanos anytime.

Copperhead #15 (Image)

Jay Faerber (W) Ron Riley (A)

I really love the slow burn of this comic. If ever they decided to do a show of this comic, I think it would be the toast of the town. Seriously though, who do I have to contact about that?

The Hard Place #3 (Image)

Doug Wagner (W) Nic Rummel (A)

This series hurts. In the best way. You know I like my stories, hard, fast, blurry from tears and blood, and uh sexy?

Daredevil #28 (Marvel)

Charles Soule (W) Ron Garney (A)

Okay, wasn’t on board at first. Now I’m totally on board. This arc is fucking awesome. I know this is the last issue of it, but still, very pumped.

Renato Jones: Season 2 #4 (Image)

Kaare Andrews (W/A)

Fuck I love this comic. I mean, every bloody tooth, mangled arm, red-hot barrel, hate-filled sentence, bile covered tile. All of it.

Saga #48 (Image)

Brian K. Vaughan (W) Fiona Staples (A)

GHUS! THE HERO WE DESERVE AND THE LITTLE COMPUTER BOY HAVE AN ADVENTURE FOR THE AGES!!!!

Deadly Class #31 (Image)

Rick Remender (W) Wes Craig (A)

Damn, this book has been kicking more ass than usual recently, and that comes as a surprise because I didn’t know asses could get kicked more than they already were. There are a lot of sore asses. Some one help.

Into the infinity mirror, he now stared at dozens upon dozens of his own reflection. Each different, in even smaller ways than before. A man aging day b y day. The reflections further away were obscured by some strange green sheen. He was happy he could not see what age may morph him into. He’d rather it be a surprise.
