There was a loud crack outside Clay’s house. It startled him and while, he liked to think he was a man of action, it did not cause him to look outside. However, the next three cracks, each louder than the last, eventually caused him to stumble out of bed and into the street in front of his house. Clad in his ripped pajama bottoms and an old shirt that had a band he had never heard of on it. His neighbors weren’t impressed.

Snap Flash Hustle #2 (Black Mask)

Pat Shand (W) Emily Pearson (A)

I picked this book up on the suggestion of my local comic shop owner, and holy hell, I am glad I read it. It’s an amazing book and you should give it a chance. If you were one of the hundred people who liked Neon Demon, you will love this comic.

Survival Fetish #5 (Black Mask)

Patrick Kindlon (W) Antonio Fuso (A)

I have loved this comic since its inception. I am sad to see this series ending but it was a wild ride. Look out for this team in the future.

Fantastic Four #5 (Marvel)

Dan Slott (W) Adam Hughs/Michael Allred/Aaron Kuder (A)

This is the big event. The actual wedding issue. Yes, the wedding special happened, but it wasn’t the wedding itself. This is when we find out who is going to crash the wedding, and how the relationships will evolve. Or….someone just gets married and we get to be happy.

Die! Die! Die! #6 (Image)

Robert Kirkman (W) Scott Gimple (A)

I can’t really put this comic into words. I’ll try anyway. It’s the most FUCK YOU action I’ve ever seen in any media. Each issue is like a kick to the face and I love kicks to the face. That’s why I work part time as a dummy at a dojo.

Bone Parish #5 (of 12) (Boom! Studios)

Cullen Bunn (W) Jonas Scharf (A)

I think this got an extension? I’m not sure. The magic limited series number popped up in solicitations, so either it got extended or just got limited from an ongoing. I’ll try not to think about it. Either way this book is incredible. If you like death and drugs, this is the book for you.

Suddenly, the sky opened up. Well, not the entire sky. More like a twenty square foot billboard opened up in the sky. Clay stood staring vacantly into the newly opened void as a single comic fluttered out of the heavens and towards his face. It slapped him in the face. As he looked at the wonderful art of Chip Zdarsky, he began being pegged with book after book. Slowly bludgeoned to death with hundreds of books. It was the most excruciating thing that ever happened to him.
