You know. Sometimes I think that an idea should have a definitive ending. Each new installment of this comic has been less intense than the last. I’m left here at the end of this one thinking that I didn’t care at all about this last arc. Sad.
Batman & Robin Eternal #17 (DC)

This comic always borders the top of the stack. There isn’t a whole lot I can say about that. It’s a good series, not great. A lot of its payoff and worth comes from a few issues here and there, and because of that it’s hard to judge it issue by issue.

I really like this character, but I feel like something has been missing from this series of late. I can’t really put my finger on it. Maybe that new comic sheen is just starting to wear off.

This series was supposed to be over. Call it Secret Wars PTSD, but I’m getting pissed that comics are getting extensions. I suppose it’s for a good cause, I mean this is a good series. I just feel manipulated.

This series is really really interesting. I love that the Inhumans are becoming a staple of the Marvel Universe in ways they weren’t before. Love the team of fresh faced mutan….I mean Inhumans getting trained.
Old Man Logan #1 (Marvel)

I am really excited for this series. While I’ll admit, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the original series and the Secret Wars series was lacking at times, no one can deny that this character is a badass. That along with the team behind this make this series a must read.

I am pleasantly surprised with this series. It seems, conceptually, like something I would have no interest in. That being said, it is a brilliantly told, multi-layered, expose of the wrestling and post-wrestling world. I dig it.

THIS COMIC! This one was hard to put above Daredevil, but I’ll make the call based on seniority. I really love the way they build up the teen heroes. I think it will make their evolution in the coming years much more realized. That’s just my opinion.

This one still astonishes me, both at the creativity behind the adaptation, and visually. I mean, Jesus, color drips from everything on the page. Gorgeous. I still wonder how long they can ride this wave. Not that I’m complaining.

Good things happened in the last issue. Also bad things. Isn’t that just how the world turns? I mean really, were you expecting anything else. Love is real, and it’s a god damned bitch. When you love something, truly love it, sometimes people die. Sometimes those people are close to you. What did I say before? Just how the world turns, I suppose. Okay, maybe that’s dramatic, but what’s life without a little melodrama?
Talk about a great week. I wish weeks like this came more often. Sure there are some series that I am glad are ending, but that doesn’t make the diamonds less…diamondy. Either way, enjoy your week and keep reading.
