Falling for more than an hour gets pretty surreal. The boundary between yourself and the air around you begins to fade away. The terror of falling into space is replaced with an almost contemplative calm. That’s how it felt to Amy at least. It probably didn’t help that she was falling through absolute darkness and the absence of any sort of wind, which in her calmed state, she figured meant there was no air and therefor no friction. It was a loose understanding. Honestly, it was hard to really decide whether she was falling or just floating. Her hair dragged behind her a bit, which made no sense given the atmosphere but lead the her decision on that matter.

This one almost slipped past me, but I caught it like a slippery snake weaving through my legs in the dead of night. I love Joshua Williamson on creator owned stuff. It’s good stuff, but the real draw to me is Rossmo. I love that man so much.

Shit is getting really fucking intense in this series. I feel like every issue ends in a huge bombastic moment that really feels important and not like a spectacle. I know, I know it’s all spectacle, I get that. It just, you know, feels real.
Batman and the Signal #2 (of 3) (DC)

This series is apparently tied into metal. After the first issue, I’m not sure how really, despite the claim that Signal’s powers are important to the story. That being said, this is a very fun series, it’s only three issues, so it’s a nice little excursion.

This series is dark. I like that. I also like horrible things happening to people (within the context of a story). So, this is a wonderful combination.

One more issue until the “monumental” 600th issue. Marvel is pushing that it’s going to be a huge issue. I am intrigued, but I’m afraid it’s just hype. Tell a good story, don’t jump through hoops for every hundredth issue.

This series is really fucking good. I am super hype for these last few issues. I think this series will act as a catalyst for change within the X-men universe.

Weird numbering, as this is a mini within the previously ongoing series. I know weird. That being said, this is a really great series. I love the relationship between Bucky and Clint. It’s gold.

Technically a number one, but it’s really the continuation of the Multiple Warheads stories. Well, really it’s the finale, which is both sad and exciting. I am a huge fan of Brandon Graham and I don’t get enough chances to talk about how great he is. So here we are. He’s great. Read this.
The hallucinations from the sensory deprivation was getting pretty intense. More and more, she was unsure if she was still in that black void. She had just sat down and had coffee with a rather talkative waitress named Connie, they had been friends for at least two years, or was it more. She was pretty sure she was falling still, but after she had her second kid and enjoyed her tenth anniversary with her lovely wife, her grip on the whole situation was still pretty strained.
