Jessica was pretty sure her plant was trying to talk to her. To be fair this had never happened to her before so she was unprepared, and really had nothing to base the experience on. It was quiet, not that there wasn’t just some sound coming from the plant, there definitely was, the room just had a lack of that sound at the moment. Jessica would want me to assure you of that. At least, I’m sure she would. We’ve never talked formally.

Man, I just can’t bring myself to let this one go. It’s fucking good. I shouldn’t have to convince myself to get rid of a good thing. I think I just had a breakthrough.
Ms. Marvel #15 (Marvel)
G. Willow Wilson (W) Takeshi Miyagawa (A)
Still a comic you should be reading, even after a could soft “reboots”, or jumping on points, whatever they are calling them this time. Please, I implore you, give them your sheckles.
The Unworthy Thor #4 of 5 (Marvel)
Jason Aaron (W) Olivier Coipel (A)
Okay, another issue closer to an answer (?) Odinson’s getting a makeover though, so that’s good. You know, gotta keep up the look. Relevancy and all that.
Detective Comics #950 (DC)
James Tynion IV (W) Marcio Takara (A)
Hey, nine hundred and fifty issues. That ain’t to shabby. I mean, this series has been going on for roughly eighty years, so I suppose that makes sense. I guess it’s a big deal or something, seeing as this comic is a cornerstone of comic history, or whatever. You know, who cares, ya dig?
Inhumans vs X-men #4 of 6 (Marvel)
Charles Soule/Jeff Lemire (W) Leinil Francis Yu (A)
This series has been getting better with every issue. Which is saying a lot, because, well, do I have to explain it? You can read.
Black Widow #11 (Marvel)
Chris Samnee/Mark Waid (W) Chris Samnee (A)
Oh yeah, Natasha totally bulled a Bond on Bucky. Working women ain’t got no time for robot armed stragglers. Bucky seems like a cuddler. Is that just me?
All-Star Batman #7 (DC)
Scott Snyder (W) Tula Lotay (A)
Okay, so I thought we were getting a Jock arc. We aren’t, which is a bummer. On the other hand, CHECK OUT THE FUCKING ART ON THIS COMIC. Jesus, if anyone had to follow up Jock.
Moonshine #5 (Image)
Brian Azzarello (W) Eduardo Risso (A)
Two more issues in the arc and I’m still a little confused. The good kind of confused, So I can handle that.
Wonder Woman #16 (DC)
Greg Rucka (W) Bilquis Evely (A)
She was insane. She got better. Maybe? Cliffhanger question.
Jessica Jones #5 (Marvel)
Brian Michael Bendis (W) Michael Gaydos (A)
Still the most fucked up PI in New York. No small feat. Have you seen the shit that happens in New York? Gangsters in baseball outfits and skates. That’s what happens in New York. So yeah, she’s a pretty big deal.
East of West #31 (Image)
Jonathan Hickman (W) Nick Dragotta (A)
Aw shit. Death may have just found his son. Well, actually, he did. There is no question. So yeah, now what? Right?
Black Science #28 (Image)
Rick Remender (W) Matteo Scalera (A)
Come on! They added superheroes to a comic that was amazing without them? Fuck yeah! This is gonna be awesome.
Okay, so Jessica and I have communicated before. It’s just it’s mostly just a passing thing. You know, we’re not waxy philosophically or anything. Just cooler talk mostly. Whatever. Look the fucking plant was talking to her, and she was really confused about it. I was just trying to let you know. Jesus Christ.
