Windows open, Jason soaked in his melancholy on his drive home. The mood struck him for no particular reason, but still managed to invade his heart. The sun had just set dragging the last minutes of daylight slowly behind. The air smelled of summer; dirt and honeysuckle. Little side roads to nowhere lined the highway around these parts. He frequently dreamed of driving off somewhere, maybe one of these roads with no purpose, and finding himself on a grand adventure.
America #3 (Marvel)

Really on the fence on this one. I want to like it, I really do, and to be fair it isn’t bad, not at all. I just don’t know if I can keep following something I’m not in love with. This is beginning to sound like a shitty break-up speech.

This wasn’t a home run for me like Loose Ends was. That being said, it has a lot of potential. I’ll keep reading and see exactly where it goes before I make a hasty decision.
Justice League of America #6 (DC)
Steve Orlando (W) Andy MacDonald (A)
Hey, this arc is already on fire. Orlando has a great way of bringing big fresh ideas to his comics. I’m pumped to see what he brings to this next arc.
Avengers #7 (Marvel)
Mark Waid (W) Mike Del Mundo (A)
Doom meets the Avengers for the first time since he has donned the mantle of Iron-Man. I love the idea of Doom joining the Avengers.
Ms. Marvel #18 (Marvel)
G.Willow Wilson (W) Takeshi Miyagawa (A)
YOUNG LOVE! Depressing, full of angsty music, and introductions to life changing, and soul crushing emotions. Gotta love it.
Detective Comics #956 (DC)
James Tynion IV (W) Marcio Takara (A)
It’s finale time, and its looking a whole lot like some secret ninja people are about to get their ass handed to them by a badass little kid. Nothing I love more than that.
All-Star Batman #10 (DC)
Scott Snyder (W) Rafael Albuquerque (A)
New arc! I know nothing about it besides the synopsis, but from what I can gather, we’re gonna be knee deep in another mystery. Good.
Old Man Logan #23 (Marvel)
Jeff Lemire (W) Eric Nguyen (A)
This arc is seriously an awesome note to leave the comic on. I keep saying that, but every issue just emphasizes that for me. We’ll miss you Lemire.
Copperhead #13 (Image)
Jay Faerber (W) Drew Moss (A)
This comic is always a pleasant read. I don’t think it gets as much attention as it should. I feel like after the hiatus, people have been kinda quiet about this series. Stop that.
Renato Jones: Season 2 #1 (of 5) (Image)
Kaare Andrews (W) Kaare Andrews (A)
I actually didn’t even realize the first series had ended. I just figured they were on a break. I guess I was wrong. At least this time we know how long the story is going to be. Dig in son.
Wonder Woman #22 (DC)
Greg Rucka (W) Bilquis Evely (A)
Wonder Woman is a certified badass. We all know that, right? I really hope the movie is a quarter as good as this comic. She deserves it.
The Fix #9 (Image)
Nick Spencer (W) Steve Lieber (A)
NEW ARC! LESS DOG? PROBABLY NOT! WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT? ALL CAPS MAKES EVERYTHING SEEM MORE AGGRESSIVE! MY THERAPIST TOLD ME TO MAKE SOME BOLD DECISIONS! DOES THIS COUNT?
The car idled at a stop light. A pick-up truck rolled next to him, carrying some teenagers; merry and drunk. They leaned out of the cab of the car, yelling at no one in particular. The fresh air spawning all sorts of irrational and juvenile feelings in them. Jason took off when the light turned green. Today he took one of those new, unmarked roads. The sun set all the same.
